I will be moving abroad and won't have any primary ties to Canada. I will have non-Canadian income. I've already prepared for tax residency in another country. However, I saw points about physical presence in the home country (not Canada), and I can't see any clear guidelines. This will define the amount of time I can travel out of the foreign home country.

When would CRA ask for proof of residency elsewhere? If I have a residential address, utility bills and pay my taxes elsewhere, but don't stay there for 183 days (just an example), what is the reasonable threshold to satisfy CRA? Is it even relevant? For example Cyprus has a presence requirement of 60 days/year, Paraguay is even 0.

To clarify, I'm not asking how long I need to stay in a foreign country to be a resident there, but how CRA will view my travel history with respect to maintaining my Canadian non-residency. And whether this is something they will demand, even though I will have no primary residential ties to Canada.

I'm seeing all cable parks closing down in the Eastern Canada, I can't believe there is not enough demand in Montreal for an awesome park. Has everyone switched to boats?
