So I’ve always fished casually and enjoyed it, but the past few weeks I’ve actually gotten into it. I bought my first baitcaster, started getting my own gear, thinking about getting back to the lake all day at work, etc.
Up until today, I was keeping it simple: spinnerbait and a pre-rigged worm.
Stopped by Walmart to grab plastic worms, weights, and… hooks.
Man. The hooks.
Why did it never occur to me how many different hook options there are? I spent 45 minutes standing in the hook section of the fishing aisle. Sizes, shapes, offsets, brands. It’s one of those things you don’t think about at all until you’re actually there staring at a wall of HOOKS.
Anyway, that’s it. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
Happy fishing!
