Hi everyone, new to BG3 and re-spec'd shadowheart into a light domain cleric. Based on guides and videos it seems like Spirit Guardians is one of if the strongest spells for clerics. It seems like to use this spell effectively you'd have to be in the middle of the action. It seems to me that light clerics are meant to be ranged casters who want to distance themselves from the middle of battle with their inability to be proficient in heavy armor being one of the reasons.

So would light clerics still take spirit guardians even when the build leans on the squishy side?
