What is with no fingers or hands in the pictures?
Is this legit? I put a 1993 small sealed box set up for sale on BL and eBay the night before last.
I got a message from someone on eBay, saying they were interested, and wanted more photos of all sides of the box with no fingers or hands anywhere in the pictures. None of the pictures I had put on eBay had those in there. So I took some more photos and sent them to him. He asked for another photo of one side, so I did. Then he asked if I could wrap it really securely in a box (yes), not use an Amazon box to ship it (okay) and not require a signature (fine with me). Then... nothing.
Then the next morning I get a message from someone on BL, where I had just used a stock photo of the set, and in my description offered to provide photos on request. She asked for photos of all sides of the sealed box, and also said there should be no fingers or hands in the photos. Sent her a link to the eBay listing because I was having trouble attaching the photos to her message. Again.. not a word from her.
It was so weird. I hadn't had a request like that before, and twice in 24 hours seemed so strange. Is this some sort of a scam? Or is that a usual request?
