For Sale: MH (Metal Halide) and HPS (High Pressure Sodium) Bulbs

For Sale: MH (Metal Halide) and HPS (High Pressure Sodium) Bulbs

As you may have seen in a previous post, I recently "inherited" several very cool bulbs. The previous tenants of a warehouse had a grow operation, but they left a bunch of stuff behind including these bulbs (and their fish tank...with their fish!!! Those bastards abandoned their pet fish!!!).

I am not an electrician and I have no way of testing these bulbs. Some of them have been marked "BAD" (I won't be selling those...unless you really want them), while others look brand new/in box. Since I can't test them, I cannot guarantee any functionality, and I will not accept returns. All bulbs are $10 each and a $20 minimum purchase, plus shipping. I accept paypal and venmo.

There are five different types of bulbs (at least) as labelled in the attached image and described here:

  • Bulb A: Ushio Hilux Gro AMH-600/Opti-blue Conversion MH bulb
  • Bulb B: GE Lucalox LU1000/PRO HPS bulb (I only have one of these)
  • Bulb C: Hortilux LU1000B/HTL/EN Super HPS bulb
  • Bulb D: Ushio Hilux Gro AHS-1000/Opti-Red HPS bulb
  • Bulb E: Auvl 1000W Grow Green 2.2 MH bulb

DM me if interested, and tell me which ones you'd like along with quantity and shipping address.

How to safely disassemble MH, Sodium, or Mercury Bulbs

My employer is leasing a warehouse that used to belong to a grow-op, and the previous tenants abandoned a bunch of these cool AF bulbs. I'm a maker and would love to turn these into something cool, but I don't know how to safely disassemble them. (As you can see, there are several boxes).

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!

Alternately, if they are expensive, can you recommend how to test them to ensure functionality? I can sell them if that's easy to do.
