Hi brains trust.
Cousin just installed solar on their home.
They got a notification from globird that reconfiguration is required at a cost of 88 bucks to allow feed in tariff (which isn't much).
From quick napkin maths, that 88 bucks won't be paid back for a while. I thought it was rich to charge 88 for a remote reconfig.
However, they called globird and the representative over the phone mentioned it isn't an absolute requirement to go ahead. Solar would still work to help reduce electricity use.
Has any one not gone ahead with reconfiguration?
Is it worth it in the grand scheme of things?
Edit 1: Globird said they sent the wrong table. It's FiT is essentially 0 around noon and 0.1c for shoulder. Which is just flat out horrible. Won't payback that 88 bucks for a very long time.
