My 7 month old cat threw up chunky yellow multiple times today and is acting lethargic. He is still walking around and will “hunt my finger around the corner, but is showing no interest in his food or toys. He will eat a little bit of his puree treat but isn’t going crazy for it like usual. He has drank some of his water today still.
I did put catnip in his cardboard scratcher for the first time yesterday and may have put too much (the whole packet). There isn’t any way he could have eaten it though. He didn’t play with it either so I don’t think this is it.
His symptoms started today while at work. I felt him and pushed around on him and he didn’t make any signs of pain or discomfort when doing so and he was purring.
He is an orange tabby cat, around 6 lbs last weight (~two months ago), 7 months old, indoors only, and he is neutered
Could it just be an upset stomach or straight to vet? I do have pet insurance for him through Healthy Paws.
