Hi guys! I got into Northeastern for NU.in my first semester.
I’ll be honest when I got in, I really wanted Greece, but my parents were pushing me towards Glasgow, so that’s where I’m going (I did try to waitlist for other locations, but I’ve heard it’s pretty unlikely to switch).
I’ve been feeling a bit unsure about Glasgow since it wasn’t my first choice, but I’m trying to go into it with an open mind! I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who did NU.in Scotland or knows someone who did.
I’m curious about
- Social life (is it easy to make friends & is it cliquey at all?)
- Weather (is it as gloomy as people say and does it affect daily life/mood?)
- Travel (did you get to explore Europe often?)
- Food & culture
- Academics (how harsh is the grading?)
- Anything you wish you knew before going
I’m still deciding how I feel about the location, so honest experiences would really help. Also if anyone is going to Glasgow feel free to reach out!
Thanks!
