Okay so a lot of people (myself included) think that the original version of the humans being battery’s being incredibly expensive and inefficient to be turned into batteries
I also know that the original idea was for them to be computers. This is extremely possible. We can process better than a chip and a tiny amount of ‘power’. Which is specifically why in the real world we are trying to create neuron circuits/brain computers. Not BCI but computers made of neurons. I do believe this and the much darker implications behind it like that Neo is not a real human just a brain in a jar is the original idea.
Butttt. I think we forget the key line “combined with a form of fusion” what if the machines found a way to harvest our energy for that? Like what if for some reason you need the heat from a bio generator and the human killed of all the other animals with nuclear war?
Anyway I’m just watching the movie again for the million time but with fresh eyes.
