Still learning photography. Be easy with me.

Explain like Im 5 :)

I see a lot of discussion between what format to shoot. RAW, JPEG, R+J etc.

I understand with RAW you have more data available for when you use LR or some other program to post process, to do some more adjustments.

JPEG, not that much apparently. Maybe a detail here and there.

I have been trying RAW because I like to play with LR to see whats up, while I learn. Most of the pictures need some extra touch with LR to make them look better because they're flat.

The other day I was taking some sport pictures for a friend, took them in RAW, when I shared them they were a little bit flat, I didn't had the time to process them, he just wanted them the way they came out. Thats when RAW + JPEG came in mind. I have been researching/reading about it. RAW for if I want to post process, JPEG if I want to quickly share them. Taking pictures if not my job, just something to have fun with it.

The main questions is... How do I transfer a R+J to my iPhone and make sure I get the full JPEG from my camera since from what I read, a JPEG file is already processed by the camera and should have some colors and details already.. I use the Canon Camera Connect. When I see the picture thru the app, it shows the R+J format. If I force it to import the picture in RAW, it will be saved in the iPhone as RAW, I can make it JPEG, will that JPEG file will be the full JPEG with all the adjustments from the camera or will that JPEG will look the same as the RAW format?

Right now is looking the same. Maybe Im missing some settings or something. No idea.

Thanks.
