Hello,
Last fall, my wife and I did a genetic counseling test recommended to us by a Doctor. According to the doctor, it would cost us $350 but informed us that insurance would not cover it.
A few weeks later we get a letter in the mail saying the test was $8995 and we owe over $3k after 'adjustments'.
I reached out to the hospital who washed their hands off it "you do not owe us for it. your issue is with Natera".
Yesterday I got an email threatening to send the account to collections. Natera has not responded to me.
Has anybody else had this experience? I feel backed into a corner and I don't know what to do.
