Advice on acquiring artwork/sound

Advice on acquiring artwork/sound

This is a game I started working on a few weeks ago. I’ve been using gamemaker for about a decade on and off (far more off than on), but decided it was time to publish something. I’m using juju Adam’s input library for controls (game uses both touch and gamepad) and the camera system is heavily influenced by Badwrongs camera tutorial on YouTube. Both of those contributions (thefts) were amazing in taking care of two issues that I grappled with. There is really not much to see in the video that is available below, just some basic movement and combat systems. I already posted this in the work in progress section.

One decision that I’ve made but am not totally sold on involves the controls. You’re a tank pilot in the game. The tank has two turrets. The first turret is auto-aim/fire it is instructed to hit any enemy projectiles that might hit your tank and, if no projectiles are heading towards your tank, shoot enemies themselves. This mechanic is the same regardless of playing touch or gamepad. But the second turret is different. If you’re playing touch controls, that turret is also auto-aim/auto fire. In that mode the player controls the tank and secondary weapons. If you are playing with a gamepad, one stick controls the tanks movement and the other stick aims and shoots like a twin-stick. This was done because I usually do not like twin stick touch controls.

However, what I really would like to accomplish at this point is finding artwork. I don’t need anything finished at present, just some assets would be nice. I have no problem paying, but when I look for top down assets I get a lot of top down perspective styles. I’m looking for true top down shooter artwork. I don’t want perspective where I have to create multiple direction sprites. If anyone has some sources for that, please send them my way. I also need sound design. Anyone have some resources for music and/or sound design?

Japan by Yot Club is music that I have heard recently that somewhat has the sound, feel and mood I’m looking for.

Here’s the TestFlight link if you have an iPhone and/or iPad and want to check it out:
