Omg after my period was a week or two late I was like “okay I guess I just didn’t ovulate this cycle”. Just decided to test again because at this point my period is 23 days late, my gyno even gave me a temporary prescription of progesterone to help jumpstart it since it hadn’t started a cycle day 35. So I decided to test again this morning anddd… the first picture was less than a minute after transferring my pee onto it and the 2nd was 3-5 minutes after first transferring. These are meant to be read at 3 minutes.

If this is real I just can’t believe it, we’ve been trying since September

This feels like a really dumb set of questions, but we were causally TTC (not really tracking, if it happens it happens) for like 4 months, and then we have ended up taking it more seriously in the past 4-5 months. I just at this point am wondering if I’m even ovulating. I stopped birth control last year after having been on it since high school to help with irregular cycles. Since stopping, my period was pretty regular until it skipped in January, and then skipped again in April. I’m now just wondering if I’m even ovulating or having anovulatory cycles frequently or what. My gyno is taking time looking at everything because I’m also needing to lose some weight, but she was like “oh if you’re not ovulating that’s an easy fix, we can give you medicine to help you ovulate”

But at this point 1) how would we even test if I’m ovulating or not, like is there a true way to fully know (I don’t mean like testing strips because I know about those but often enough people point out that all they do is look for the spike, which doesn’t necessarily mean ovulation)
2) does it even sound like I might be having anovulatory cycles to anyone else?

Honestly I’m getting so burnt out on trying to track and trying to think through ways to make it happen, especially if I may not even be ovulating.
