Hi everyone,

We recently bought a used CNC vertical machining center with a Mitsubishi M70 control.

The USB port itself seems to work. In Edit → I/O, I can select USB Memory and the control can list the files on the USB stick without any problem.

However, my issue is with the Monitor → Program Call / Call screen. On that screen I only see:

Memory

RS232C

Memory Card

There is no USB Memory softkey there.

What I want is to call/run programs directly from the USB memory, the same way the machine can call programs from the Memory Card/CF card. We do mold work, so copying every program from USB into CNC memory every time is not practical, and the internal memory is limited.

I checked the user parameter screens. The USB is visible in Edit/I/O, so the USB port is not disabled. I also checked I/O parameters such as data input/output ports and communication parameters, but I could not find a clear setting that adds USB Memory to the Program Call screen.

My question:

Can USB Memory be enabled in the Monitor → Program Call screen on a Mitsubishi M70, or is direct program call/DNC only supported from Memory Card/CF card on this control?

Any information about the related parameter, MTB setting, ladder setting, or option would be very helpful.

Thanks.
