The concert was rly cool. It was my first concert. He’s a fantastic performer, I can’t lie I didn’t rly feel connected to anything other than the music. I wish I could be better at socializing with random people that were there n stuff. I thought by now I would feel ready and comfortable to just be myself, but there’s so much hesitation and idk I feel like I exposed that to myself again.

I wasn't tapped into mink pre easter pink but I do think about his early approach for how he got his art out there in a way which wasn't disingenuous or cheap or fabricated. I'm pretty sure he just used to consistently upload his music on soundcloud, like a lot of other artists, but what made his music initially get the traction it even did?

Like i don't imagine mink ever buying ads on instagram/soundcloud, trynna get shoutouts from pages, or paying tiktok girls to use his sound, the only thing i imagine mink doin was deadass just uploading music. I cant lie tho i do feel like im missing a page in the story, like so many people just upload on soundcloud and also make interesting music and dont get the attention. How do you get people to pay attention and not pay for placements or eyes.

Is the answer to this as simple as make interesting good shit consistently, and keep posting about it and eventually it'll happen? But at what point is it just posting to the abyss, like if i make art am i just hoping and praying that someone sees my post or my reel and happens to stumble onto it and likes what i do. This seems like such a passive approach, its so reactionary.

I would be a lot more confident if the way I share my art was active, like I'm going out of my way to show people it, but how do you do that at a small scale. I'll give you an example, like imagine if im mink i would follow people on ig who follow artists that make similar music to what i do and then hope they check out my page and like what i make, this seems a lot more action based then just posting ur song sitting around and waiting something happens. Still i dont think mink did that nor is that scalable.

Like I'm rly talking about the way he was approaching ts before easter pink, because for easter pink to even be as big as it did there had to be someone listening. My question is how did get that someone.

I hope this makes sense, and isnt scrambled and dragged out. hopefully it makes sense.
