I’m currently listening to Philip Pullman’s Northern Lights and am just blown away by how beautiful and immersive the audiobook is. I’ve been listening to audiobooks for a couple of years because I love to craft or drive while I read. I’ve just finished book 3 of the dune series and while I loved the story, the audiobooks (especially the first) were SO BAD I thought I was going crazy. I guess I just came here to spread some appreciation for really well made audiobooks, and to remind you all to join your public library!! I used to be an audible user and just cringe now at how much I spent on that terrible service. Especially if you’re in Australia, your local or state library should have access to something like Libby or BorrowBox and it’s literally free. You can sign up online. Get some quality in your life 💯
