hello! in december of 2025, i had a 12cm (around size of a grapefruit) neurofibroma resected from my chest (posterior mediastinum). i am on the mend, but recently followed up CT scans reported findings of a 1cm "hyperdense nodule" anterior to my trachea, reporting that it could be accessory thyroid tissue. separately, they also found a syrinx (cyst in my spinal cord) and i have a lump on my toe that i discovered a few months ago.

i do have scheduled follow up appointments with all of my specialists and my PCP to check out these issues so i am NOT expecting a diagnosis for reddit, but am i silly to think that NF1 is a possibility? especially considering i have another strange growth or two in other areas that have yet to be scanned?

there is a history in my family for benign tumors. my mom had one in her brain on her pituitary that was never biopsied, so unsure if it is truly a neurofibroma like mine. i also have diagnosed ADHD, issues with my memory, and severe scoliosis. i learned these are correlated, but i don't think i have some of the other classic signs like cafe au lait spots.

thank you for your support/advice in advance!
