Loving ARCS, eager for the kickstarter expansion to arrive (mor fates plz!). Still new to the game (only a few full campaigns so far), but creativity is bubbling and had some Fate ideas I thought I'd run past the more experienced community, to see if they'd even be viable (using the Dev Package Cole has provided if it feels any have traction).

Part of it came from the idea of "reverse" engineering the Leader cards from the base-Game into Campagin Fates (hence my addition of using "Leader Art" for each).

Ideas for fates ATM (pure brain-storming atm):

The Architect (A-Fate): - use Anarchist-Leader Art?

ACT I: Can 'build' free cities more easily (maybe a court card?). Wants to fill the board with cities; really urbanizing the place.

ACT II: can upgrade 5 Cities into "Capitals/Megacities", that produce x2 Resources (instead of x1) when Taxed BUT at a cost (maybe -X points? Maybe trade a Resource to get the second resource?).

ACT III: Grand Objective involves having a number of Free-Cities, but the urban demands of this vast sprawl are eating up resources (removing "Material-Fuel Resource Tokens" from the game?)

The Director/Propagandist (A-Fate): - use Demogogue-Leader Art?

Concept: A Fate that wants to clear the Court of "Guild Cards" ASAP (however possible), as they benefit (Objective Advances?) each time a VOX card in the Court is buried (AKA: A Fate that wants to weaponize/profit from VOX cards in the Court; predominately the original 5 VOX cards in the deck).

The Enforcer/Magistrate (B-Fate): - use Agitator-Leader Art (he kinda has a Gavel?)?

ACT II: Can "Arrest" rival ships (even if both are Regents), and their objective "Advances" by targeting rival's who are in the lead (or tied for lead; in case the Enforcer is leading themselves). Meant to be a bit of a "pull back the runaway leader" Fate, with the thematic idea it could lead into "The Judge".

ACT III: Unsure.... maybe a "Grand Ambition" that feels thematic to the Judge?

Still learning ARCS fully (esp the campaign) but loving it. And recent discussion in the group was "are some fates better in different circumstances?"

The main discussion was around "The Judge" as some felt them a bit "meh" to others as a comeback fate (comparatively, we felt "The Gate-Wraith" is great to play from a loosing position to pressure the point-leading fate to preserve the Reach and their win).

However the thought was raised "Maybe its a Fate thats better to swap to IF you ARE winning?" and we seemed to agree this did seem to make more sense (aka: The Judge is still gains points via forcing Tie's, which helps them hold a point-lead if they have it entering Act 3, while also pressuring players to disrupt their "Objective" where able).

It did seem to make sense as, even if you win your Act 2 Objective, you still get a choice of one C-Fate. Thus its possible that maybe, luck of the draw, you could get a C-Fate to secure the win instead of change your win-condition?

We had some other thoughts on specific benefits of going C-Fate (e.g.: if you have a tone of Relics and are offered to be "The Redeemer", its kind of a great draw!) but I thought I'd ask the community if this is a thing (asking on the chance if we are misassuming something; so we can play it right).

Hope that makes sense?
