I was never formally diagnosed but about 7 years ago, I had pulsing in my ear, found to have the optic nerve swelling and daily non stop headaches and 'migraines", some dizziness( I always say it's not true dizziness it's kind of like a I feel a bit lightheaded but not) I had been suffering for a year at that point.. i got pregnant a year later and most things calmed down, optic nerve swelling almost gone. The thing that remained was mostly headaches and ear tinnitus. I did have a LP with an opening of 23 so said it was not high enough but close for formal diagnosis. They gave me nortriptyline which got rid of the pulsating and kept my headaches to what I call background headaches. During an MRI they did see extra fluid too. It's been 4 years since my last MRI.
Now lately I've been feeling pressure behind my eyes, the bridge of my nose hurts, I feel the dizzy(fog) again. My eyes get so heavy I sometimes have to have a nap. Has anyone experienced a re-up take in symptoms? I will admit life has been extremely stressful for me lately so I'm not sure if I've triggered something again. I do not have access to neurologist easily anymore, my city has one or two for everyone and you wait a year to two years for an appt.
Am I crazy to think this is coming back, my husband is like well you've also had a cold recently (or am I leaking CSF?) so he's thinking maybe my sinuses are just full and the extra pressure I have already is making it feel worse. I'm scared to go through everything again since no one really helped me much the first time.
Please let me know if you experienced a resurgence of symptoms after feeling better a while.
