At my current job, I have a bronze healthcare package and an HSA that I use for my wife, who does not have health insurance.

We are planning on moving soon to pursue new career opportunities. I will leave my current job to work for a different company, meaning I will lose my current health coverage and my HSA account.

What happens to the money that is left in the HSA? Is it taxed and then deposited into my account, or do I have to manually request to withdraw the money?

I am a paramedic with 8 years of experience, looking to move to Champaign or Urbana. As far as I understand, it is Carle Arrow Ambulance who holds the 911 contract for Chambana. Are there any medics or other medical professionals who can tell me what they are like as a company? Is it a good service to work for?
