Enable Top Commenter Flair on Subreddit
EDIT 2 (Answered): I did not realize that only top 1% flairs got displayed. That would answer my question.
---
Desktop user here.
In a subreddit I'm in (Toronto Blue Jays), I've earned the flair "Top 5% commenter" for the latest month (received it 2026/May/02). It is the second time I've received this flair.
However, I don't know how to display it next to my username on all comments made within that subreddit. The subreddit DOES allow flairs to be displayed, as I see other users have this flair, but I can't figure out how to do it myself.
I've tried clicking "Show my user flair on this community" on the subreddit page, as well as pinning and unpinning it within my "Achievements - Building Community" page, but I don't see any change. Custom flairs work however.
I've asked a mod, and they said it should be automatic (been a few days), and that I should try asking here.
It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work, but if anybody has a solution (perhaps a step by step guide), then that would be appreciated.
Thank you.
EDIT 1: I'm being told that perhaps only top 1% flairs get displayed? If so, is this a setting across all of Reddit, or just across specific subreddits? (now that I think of it, I could have sworn I've seen some top 5% flairs before, but I look back and see none)
