Hi everyone. I've been wanting to move from my current living situation for a while. There's nothing wrong with it but it's basically set-up to be used short-term and I've been here for over a year now. I've been pretty set on my next living situation being an apartment to myself and if we're going by the monthly income 3x rent rule then the max monthly rent I can afford is about $1,300. I've been looking into places that offer studios and 1-bedrooms for that price and finding that a lot of them have negative reviews. With a $1300 monthly budget, am I better off finding a shared living situation? Is a $1300 apartment likely to have more problems than it's worth?
