Cam before joining Denver was considered a great pickup but he had the same problem as MPJ.
Val before Denver was considered a good backup but coaching couldn't accommodate him.
I think most of this coaching is running on Jokic's brilliance. Just run him for 40 mins and win 54 games.
I think this team had the talent to win more and more than that the way DA treated players who just came back from injury was frustrating to say the least. Look at OKC, when Shai came back against Denver they rested him even if it went to OT. For Spurs, Wemby wasn't played more than what was recommended for him even if they were losing. But, DA played Gordon 10-15 mins more to win a regular season game. And every time he did that a few games later he would again injure his hamstring. A lot of people are saying AG is brittle or stuff, but I think this part is overlooked a lot.
So many players if he listened to the medical stuff might have been healthier. Even Peyton he ran him to the ground.
All the teams went through injuries but the way they handled is way different than Denver. But DA never played other players when they showed they can at least play in the regular season during Jan stretch.
People might be saying that we had injury bug, but a lot of it is on DA and the way he ran people to the ground.
