The dream:
I was lucid right off the bat, and I was inside of what seemed to be a closed mall. I was at what looked like a large entrance, except there was no door to the outside. Walking in further, I began seeing corpses on the ground. Some looked peaceful, but some had clear causes of death. One was all shades of blue and purple, bloated beyond belief and soaking wet from drowning. One was charred and burned, missing eyes and most of his hair. The list goes on. Then as I moved further in, walking past darkened closed stores, I realized there were other people there. Except they were dead too. One man with bruising and rope marks on his neck walked past me looking like HE was seeing a ghost, wide eyed and shaking his head. I kinda started to panic and frantically look for an exit, but all the exit signs pointed to empty walls or seemingly endless hallways. I rounded a corner and was confronted by 2, what looked like living people. The man was tall and pale, wearing a fancy black suit, and he had glowing pale purple eyes. The woman, also tall and wearing a fancy suit, had glowing green eyes. The conversation was as follows:

Man: you’re not supposed to be here
Me: I’m sorry, how do I get out?
Man: we actually don’t know how, but you’re really not supposed to be here.
Woman: this place doesn’t have doors, so you can’t get out unless you know another way.
Me: well I think I’m dreaming. I can try to wake myself up?
Woman: do you have an alarm set?
Me: yes, I have to get up at around 4 am
Man: perfect. We’ll wait with you until then. Don’t go anywhere.
Woman: you might not be able to leave again if you do.
Me: what time is it now?

At that point my alarm went off, and I woke up.
I’m still feeling really uneasy about the whole thing hours later. It felt SO real, except it’s definitely not what I understand “mall world” to be. I thought it was more of a liminal, empty space and usually you don’t see people there? Has anyone had a similar experience? I’m really not sure what to think at this point.
