I want to replace our current springs on the double door before they fail. Current 16x8 door is 275#. Current springs are 262 2 39. After speaking with shop that built and installed the doors for our builder and telling them I want high cycles springs, then recommended 312 3.75 51.5 springs. They said these are rated for 100K cycles.
One tech came out a few weeks ago but he couldn’t remember much from that day so since they built the doors and originally installed it, I would assume this would use the same mounting plate that the current springs attach too and rod as well?
I have a Liftmaster side opener on this door. Any concerns you see with the spring upgrade? Thanks!
