Share Note Plugin

I cannot believe how good the 'Share Note' plugin is really. This was exactly what's missing in my workflow since I moved from Notion. I needed to share quick notes with my colleagues.

Wow!

Immediately after I see that it's working amazing, I started worrying that it will stop working due to some reason!!

What's your flow to open a note?

Your hands on your keyboard and GO.

Open the note that you created last month. You remember part of title, tags etc.

My answer: CTRL-E is assigned to omnisearch, I write the tag for the project, but that's not enough to find the individual note from a project, then whatever I can remember. So it's like, "Artemis flight data cost". I don't even use # for searching tags, why should I?

Rumours state that Franco Mastantuono is looking to leave Madrid on loan. Would you want to see him in Fenerbahçe?

He’s a left footed RW, doesn’t get any minutes in Madrid.

Github.io Blogs

Hi,
Moving out from Notion, I need to move my personal blog to github pages.

I am not good at this. I used jekyll before but I was so out of control, it felt like it will fail any second.

Right now I am trying VaultFolio, a new tool, and I would like to see any other very easy and straightforward way to serve a blog from Obsidian to github.io.

Here is my story.

Two-three years Notion pro user. Mainly engineering work - which includes a lot of screenshot and images/videos from site to build a knowledge-base. And it works great. So, I don't open Notion everyday, but when I need to see a photo or an excerpt from a book, I go back. I didn't use it for daily tasks. For daily tasks, I used paper. And for work-related notes, I used Onenote. So, all the projects were inside Onenote, while Notion is my brain.

Due to the mentioned documents, my Notion size is around 15 GB.

Occasionally, when I'm with a client or colleague, I pull up Notion, and show them a photo or text that would help the discussion.

And also, I keep my blog in my Notion - serving directly from xxx[dot]notion[dot]site. I used github blogs before, but Notion was very easy-

I don't know why, but I decided to try Obsidian again. I migrated the Notion easily, but of course, a lot of clean up is needed, so I moved it to a subfolder to work on later. I started using from scratch - this time not focusing on the folders, but focusing on tags and links.

Different this time, I built my daily working notes to Obsidian also. Journal for work topics - both daily and weekly- and linking daily technical knowledge from journal to relevant archives. Tagging each paragraph in daily journal with info.

Unfortunately, it works great. Couple days ago, after asking here, I tried Syncthing, it looks like working, but I need to keep open a PC to sync my phone, but I don't have that kind of server etc. And, working this hard to be able to reach my notes made me angry. I also tried serving my blog in github, it might work, yes.

Even though I didn't like these, I loved working in Obsidian. I don't know.

I am not asking anything - I am just explaining. Syncthing might be too complicated for me - and it might be weird for a company PC. I can reach a markdown note from my Google Drive where my vault is stored. I did sync my vault to Github (by excluding the Notion import, so the size is small), and it looks OK - at least readable, even though callouts etc are not looking that good.

I think I will not be able to escape from Obsidian.

Hi,

I have been a paid user for 2 years. Evaluating my options for other notetaking apps, such as Craft. If I check the page for Notion, the price I need to pay is double the price I have listed in the subscription page of the iphone.

Is it because I am an existing user that I can pay less?

Bir hayal edin.

Ulkeyi bolmek isteseniz, ezildiğini dusundugunuz tarafin ezilmislik hissini arttirmak istersiniz. O tarafin silahini kullanmasini istersiniz.

Mesela onun milletvekillerini hapse atarsiniz. Meclis benim meclisim degil demek ki diye düşünür. Daga çıkanlar daha mantikli is yapiyor diye dusunur.

Ulke bizim ulkemiz, dersiniz. Ama şehirlerinin takimlari super lige çıkınca dunya yikilir. Lig bile benim ligim degil derler o halde.

Yok Amed spor sunu yapmis, yok bunu yapmis.

Hi,

I am trying to move from Raindrop to Obsidian, by using highlight function of webclipper.

One problem I have is that I cannot access my highlights from anywhere, instead I need to find the highlight inside the article.

Does anybody have a workflow for this?

Hi,

I am keen to create a people folder to keep a list of things that it would be better to remember about them. I started it, and it's going slowly, but looking good.

But, when I see in my Onedrive that a file with their name syncs, I feel creepy.

Then I imagined that in one of the Teams meeting, I share my Obsidian to show something from a note, and suddenly the left pane is open, and they see their name.

I feel weird!

Does anybody have a way to hide this? Did you get 'caught' (just kidding)?

I am trying to work more on my daily note to keep a good track. And sometime, I write some parts of my email there.

Since I usually work with emails, I find it hard to copy to Outlook. Because, I needed to copy the images manually one by one, after copying text.

Or if I need to copy something to Word - it also doesn't work.

Does anybody have a workflow to copy things to Office -together with the images?

I have a lot of technical information spread into different folders, and I am trying to use tags as much as possible.

I am a person who tries to use the software to full extent. So, I tried the properties as well. For some notes that I might send out a PDF copy, I used properties to hide the tags. (By properties, I mean frontmatter)

But, other than this, I cannot find a use for the properties. Even for bases, tags work.

Why would you use the properties?
