Drag racing update and some clips

Got a couple really good runs in today at the drag strip. I put them together in a video, with inside and outside camera perspectives with the BeamCam 360 I just got. Hopefully the camera's built-in speedometer overlay looks OK. I thought I lost the first race against the ETK K-series, but the time slip disagreed...still not entirely sure what happened there??

Took some photos with the Sunburst from the second race in the evening, they actually came out pretty good. (I'm pretty sure the Sunburst was stock, though the 2.5 Sport RS is pretty fast from the factory). The ETK declined to take photos for some unknown reason.

Great first day at the Belasco International Car Show!

There were a lot of cool vehicles in the lot this morning, including some super rare Arima sedans, a Bruckell Nine, and a "project car" Bolide that looks suspiciously refined. We're having a drag racing session later, I'll attempt to post videos of that once we're done. I might be racing some of these vehicles on the track...

Getting my Barstow IV ready for the Belasco International Auto Show...

Just got some mods and upgrades for my '98 Barstow IV Roadsport, in preparation for the Belasco International Auto Show. I put in an Ultra Heavy Duty Long Block, a pretty big nitrous tank in the trunk for drag racing, and a roll cage just in case. I also swapped in some Clockwise wheels and put on some race tires.

I'm basically 10 min away from the Tesoro Hotel, so it's a really quick trip. Will post tomorrow with some updates and/or photos of the car at the hotel.

I'll be on vacation in Skeleton Coast (South Africa) next week and I'll be shipping a rental car for the trip. I'm looking at either a 2022 Procyon Centauri L410T V6, or a 2023 ETK 900-Series 958x 450. They're charging a base rate of $420/day for the Centauri, plus the transport fee bringing it to about $1840 (I'm staying 4 days) . The ETK would be $386/day, with a total cost of about $1640. (The only reason I can afford this is because I recently received a large raise at the dealer...)

Someone modified the ETK though, they put custom blacked-out lenses and straight-piped the exhaust. I think the ETK is the more cost-effective option, but it's also V8 and might get poor MPG. And the exhaust drone might be bad on the highway. Thoughts?

(If you're curious what the ETK exhaust sounds ilke, I have a POV test drive video here)

A POV clip of me taking the CCF2 220-6RS back from the dealer this weekend, after having the BEAMKATA airbags replaced. It was a very calm and nice afternoon, and I was able to put the top down. The dealer had to reset the car's infotainment screen though, so I had to make sure to turn off the awful AEB systems though...

For some reason Reddit wouldn't let me upload this video along with my photos in the intro post, and YT blocked it on copyright, so here it is. A quick exhaust note clip of the 1998 Barstow IV RoadSport I currently own, and a POV of the commute to the dealer. It has a custom exhaust with tubular headers, but no other mods.

Hello everyone! I'm Harvey Warderwar, a Horizon Estates resident (it's just outside Belasco City) and owner of a 1998 Barstow IV and a 2020 Hirochi CCF2. I work at the local Jefferson Motors shop in the city, primarily as a test driver and design supervisor for Hirochi. Occasionally I work the sales floor and show customers around.

The Barstow IV is a RoadSport hardtop and I've had it for quite a few years now, not too many miles as it's not the daily driver. It has a custom exhaust system (though not straight piped) and custom Folk wheels. The CCF2 is a 220-6RS, convertible, with the I6 engine and stock interior/wheels. I bought the CCF2 new, it hasn't had any problems except for the big ETK airbag recall. (I just had to take it in for service).

I enjoy traveling to different locations and actually have a Skeleton Coast trip planned in a couple of weeks. I've been to Italy a few times before and have helped a friend with their airport passenger transport business. Other than that, I just hang around Belasco, and make sure new shipments of old Hirochi vehicles are drivable. I actually have a lot of room at the house in Horizon Estates (large driveway), so I'm on the lookout for an Ibishu Hecate or other project vehicle to restore in the area.

Belasco has been getting quite crazy lately crime-wise! Stay safe folks!

(Sorry if the music on the Barstow drive video is too loud, I had the radio going and didn't realize the volume might've been too high)
