Injured my Rt foot Dec 2025, it’s now May 2026. 5th metatarsal lateral midway. Very painful around that little bone. Dr says it’s peroneal tendonitis but I’m thinking it’s a stress fracture. Xray showed nothing, MRI missed the area they needed to scan.🙄 So no results in that area! I have nursed it, iced it, taking anti inflammatories, bought stiff supportive shoes (Bokas), and placed inserts in them, using anti inflammatory cream, staying off of it. Pain travels around my foot now. What imaging should I ask for now? And what’s my next step in this long, dragged out problem? I’m frustrated and just want to get back to normal. I’m very active and love working outdoors, gardening, walking, biking, and kayaking. Where do I go from here? I think there’s a fracture in there somewhere.
