Fickle Pickle Restaurant : It is with a very heavy heart that we are announcing that the Fickle Pickle Family Restaurant will be closing as of Monday May18, 2026 after over 28 years of serving the wonderful community of Stouffville. It is not the end of our journey, but the beginning of a new chapter. We are actively seeking a new location where our boys Joshua and Matthew will be taking over the family business, and they will be continuing to fulfil their father’s Nick visionary dream of mixing warm hospitality with quality comfort food. He always wanted our patron’s to truly enjoy what they eat in a warm, welcoming family atmosphere and we believe that with the help of our boys, Nick achieved his goal. We would like to give a shout out to the many dedicated staff who worked hard to serve their community and especially our long term staff, Michael, Tammy and Nick, who showed true loyalty and dedication and stuck by us through the good and challenging times. We have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the wonderful community of Stouffville, and owe an endless gratitude to all our customers who support us, but especially our regulars (and there were many through the years), to whom without your support we would not be here today. So many of you are like family to us and we will cherish all the wonderful memories. We will still be in operation the next few weeks, and we will continue serving up delicious food with a smile until the minute we close. It was important to me personally to stay until just after Mother’s Day, as this is our busiest day of the week which gives us the opportunity to meet up with many of our customers old and new, and say “Until we meet again”. We would also like to ensure that we stay in communication with everyone, so that when Joshua and Matthew open their new twist on the Fickle Pickle Restaurant, we can share the new location with you. This weekend, on Sunday April 25, from 2-5pm we have a great lineup of fabulously talented musicians, from the York/ Durham Finger Style Guitar Association, who will be holding an Open Stage format. Then on May 6, from 5-9pm we will be participating in Ladies Night, where we will be offering both wine and food specials especially for that evening. More info to follow. Our last main event will be on Mother’s Day, where for many Mother’s in our community brunch and dinner at the Fickle Pickle with family has been a wonderful tradition for many years. Our family and staff look forward to serving you:) Beth-lee Kovinsky Paraskevakos
