I applied online for a passport renewal on April 21. My status updated to received on the 24th but there have been no changes since then. I have a domestic flight on the 14th and I’m starting to get concerned about timing. I’ve read that a lot of people on here are getting their applications processed far quicker than this. Could there be a problem with my photo?

I don’t have a real ID. My state requires you to renew your license at age 30 (next year for me) so I don’t want to pay to get a real ID now and then need to renew it again (and pay again) when I’m 30.

If I don’t get my passport before my trip, will I have trouble using my non-real ID drivers license to fly domestically?
