I've been a franchisee a few times across different industries and one thing I kept noticing over the years — a lot of people buy into a franchise expecting passive income and then kind of...panic once the deal is done.
The broker's gone. The franchisor's support is built for someone who plans to show up every day. And suddenly this person who bought a business as an investment is standing there like...now what?
Curious if others have experienced this.
When you bought your franchise — what did the first 90 days actually look like? Did you feel like you had enough support to get it open and running? Did you end up working in it way more than you planned?
And if you bought it thinking passive income but ended up basically buying yourself a job — I'd really love to hear that story. No judgment, I've seen it happen a lot and I'm just trying to understand where people struggle most.
