Does anyone else feel that the Schemer's are giving off similar vibes to the Brass Ring, perhaps a bit more whimsical though?

They are in a major city, facing the risks causes by ambition and failures by the political authority while potential magical disasters are unfolding in the background. All of which makes me think of Calamity, which is probably helped by having 1/2 the party shared between both stories.

All of this to say, I think the schemers need to worry more about the Grey Tower and the Revolutionary Council itself as the formal authority appears to be silent and/or comprimised. Which was something that they completely ignored in Calamity, dealing with corrupt authority is a classic as far as Brennan is concerned.

I was wondering if anyone else saw the close connection between these stories Brennan has told? It should be fun to watch either way, however, I feel ignoring the leadership of the city will only cause them trouble if they focus too much on the nobles.
