Subchorionic hematoma has grown
Currently 12w6d and I’ve been bleeding on and off since 4w2d. The first time I bled I went to the ER and found out I had a .8x.5cm SCH.
I’ve had ultrasounds almost every 2 weeks since. It grew to 1.25cm, then back down to .8cm and then last week they said it wasn’t there…
The rule my ob gave me was “no exercise or sex until you go a week without bleeding”.. I would go a week without bleeding, go for a walk, go to bed and I’d wake up to bleeding…. So when they told me the hem was gone I was confused when I bled this past weekend.
I called and harassed the office this last weekend demanding another ultrasound (trans-vaginal not abdominal) and it turns out that the hematoma is not only there, but bigger than it’s ever been.
I’ve been put on almost total bed rest for the next 3 weeks until my next ultrasound. No exercise, sex, grocery shopping, house chores, no lifting over 5 lbs…
I just feel so defeated and angry. It’s such an emotional rollercoaster to be gaslit, told it’s gone and that my bleeding is “fine” because baby is growing as they need to (thankfully!!!!)
I’ve been told this entire time that “it’ll clear by the second trimester”.. and here we are. Almost there and it’s done nothing but grow in size.
Anyone else have a similar experience?
