Here is some background that I found about this particular aircraft:
This airplane has been owned by famous Pierre CAVASSILLAS, he was a professional for audio visual,
movies & films. Formerly, Pierre had been owner and restorer different model aircraft, like one Nord
1100 SN113 F-GRPC. He flew lot of hours with this airplane and gained very much experience and
expertise.
In the year 2000 - as a new challenge - he decided to rebuild this Nord 1100 with a professional help
of many specialists and enthusiasts.
First attempt to rebuild the engine went wrong due to partnership with a incompetent partner,
Pierre had been postponed a longer period of time and lost a significant amount of money.
Unfortunately, Pierre could not finish this work due to a serious illness, he died in 2014.
Thus, the scope of finishing has been granted by Christian BONNET, who is a specialist and has an
expertise with this and other projects in aviation also. Thanks to his engagement and expertise, the
engine Renault 6Q-10A has been overhauled completely between 2013 and 2015 an been rejoined to
the airframe in March 2015. Eighteen more months were necessary to finalize the hydraulic system,
the air circuit system, the electrical system, the carburation adjustment and much more. Successfully
granted by a test flight on 4th July 2015, all flight parameters were reached “in green” the airplanes
still flies very smoothly. This aircraft is a great experience and has special philosophy; based at Albert
LFAQ, F-AZXC.
With this one is the last Nord 1100 built in the world. It’s the reason to obtain the special PC01 add
on, a new aircraft is born with this unique Nord 1100PC01.
This Nord 1101 is airworthy, CofA August 12, 2024, TTSO 36:05, last flight July 15, 2023
