Unfiltered opinion of Westbrook
My wife, daughter and I are considering moving to Westbrook (currently in Portland area). I wanted to get some honest opinions from people who live there (or have lived there recently).
I was born and raised in Windham (next door) so I have my childhood/high school opinions towards ‘the dirty brook’ but I’m unsure how much of that stemmed from our sports rivalry, things my parents/other adults said, etc.
I’m curious about a few things in particular:
-Overall quality of life
-What the general vibe of the community is like &
crime and safety compared to nearby towns
-**School quality (if anyone has experience with the school district)**
-rAny neighborhoods to look for or avoid
From what I’ve seen so far it seems like Westbrook is growing and becoming a bit of a Portland-adjacent suburb, but I’d love some insights from locals. Especially school/education for my young child.
