Looking for a roadhouse between Perth and Kalbarri that had a friendly Emu in the 90s

Sometime around the mid 90s I remember going on holiday to Kalbarri - and on the way there we stopped at roadhouse.

There we were greeted by a friendly Emu that I think the owners adopted - its name was either Tuesday or Wednesday. Can’t remember why they called it that, but possibly that they found it on that day.

Anyone have any recollection of this and possibly remembers where it might have been?

Would be great to revisit if it’s still around (both the emu and roadhouse).

For those you have done ancestry dna genealogy - how far did you manage to go back in your family tree?

Year/period wise. E.g. is it possible to back as far as the 1500s?

Bobby Fischer’s mom had an interesting life…

Born in Switzerland.

Moved to USA.

Moved back to Europe where apparently she married and then studied Medicine in Russia.

Moved back to USA (over age 30 now I believe) - where she was nurse, teacher and then doctor.

Is something like this even possible in this day and age?

So many career changes that require education.

How would you even afford the time to study and juggle raising kids at the same time?
