I've had this car for 8 months, and I've noticed a stress crack, I took it to the dealership and they agreed it was a no impact stress crack, they ran a pen across the crack and found no pit, photographed the windshield and have been in talks with nissan Canada for about 5 weeks.

They are telling me they're advocating for me the best they can but I'll likely have to replace it through insurance.

Has anyone experienced something like this and can they give me recommendations on next steps?

NHTSA has service bulletins that supports an argument for this sort of thing but I can't find a Canadian equivalent so I'm not sure if it will hold water for my case.
