

I’ve been using GoMining for around 3.5 years and never had a serious issue until now.
Recently, I deposited around 240+ GMT to use in the Travel section for booking a hostel. I’ve successfully booked accommodation through the app before, so I trusted the system.
However, last Saturday evening (around 5 PM), I tried to book a hostel again. The payment showed as “failed / declined” on the screen.
But despite that, 123.51 GMT was still deducted from my balance.
Here’s where it gets worse:
I contacted the hostel → they confirmed no booking exists
I contacted Travel support → they say there is no record of any booking attempt
I checked my wallet → the 123.51 GMT is clearly gone
Support is telling me this might be a “wallet provider holding the funds” and that it could be released later, but they can’t provide any clear explanation or timeline.
This is very concerning for me.
I trusted this platform for years, but if transactions can fail AND still deduct funds without any trace in the system, that’s a serious issue.
What worries me even more is:
If this happens with larger amounts in the future, that would completely break my trust in the platform.
Has anyone experienced something similar with GoMining Travel or GMT deductions?
Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated.
