I have started listening to audiobooks on my android phone using Bluetooth airbuds.

The problem I’m having is that when I pause and then resume using the pods, the player has lost its place. I usually listen for long sessions and when the player resumes way back it is annoying and my hands are occupied and I can’t easily wake up the phone to find where I left off.

I don’t seem to diagnose whether is it a problem with my phone setting (I’m using an Oppo, and I’ve already locked the player apps, and their background activity is allowed), the player (although I have tried several apps: Voice, Musicolet, Sirin, etc), something else?

Any suggestion to overcome this problem is very welcome.
