Hi folks, recently moved to the South from the Northeast, where I’ve been bit in the past by many a tick and know about Lyme etc. I went out hiking on Sunday afternoon, woke up Monday and found a lone star tick (with the dreaded white dot) attached to my thigh. So it was probably on there for about twelve hours, definitely fewer than 24 hours. It was alive after I removed it with tweezers, and I put it in a baggie.

What steps should I take? I’ve been eating vegan for two days. Is there any way to find out if I get AGS without just eating meat and seeing what happens? Thanks and health to you all!
