I proposes a new way to look at Critical Slowing Down. The idea in a nutshell:
The suggestion is that a system collapse manifests in higher-order derivatives before it hits the state variable. To capture this early. the suggestion is to magnificating the signal of higher-order derivatives before it hits the state variable.
