It was intended to better identify cheating but I’ve actually noticed a decline in efficiency.
Alongside March’s changes, I suspect the hidden pool algorithm was tweaked impacting matchmaking. This involves legitimate players in one team being matched with closet cheaters to train the AI. Real-time analysis of teams with and without cheats is beneficial for AI development but it’s too damaging to the playerbase. Look at the last two months; people are getting far too many of these matches.
