Last week I saw that this battery was "coming soon" and really wanted to try it. Today I checked the Home Depot website again, and its now for sale! (as is the 8AH Edge). The Standard 18V 12AH (PBP10012) battery is a beast and makes all of my 18V tools perform noticeably better. But, My brushless mini blower (PSBLB01) cant handle the 12AH battery at full throttle because it cuts off, so I doubt the mini blower can handle the new 12AH EDGE battery (PBP1112).
I usually wont buy anything unless it is on sale, but I am making an exception to my personal rule for this particular battery. I love the performance of the PBP1104 4AH Edge, and given that the 4AH EDGE battery is NOW $149 "regular" price, I can see them raising the price on this battery at some point as well. Its currently $269 which is only $10 more than the standard 18V 12AH, so to me thats worth it. I also dont see this new 12AH battery making it to the DTFO website anytime soon. It took almost a year for the 4AH EDGE battery to make it to DTFO, and unless its on a really good sale, the added DTFO shipping cost usually negates the sale price.
Anyone else gonna grab one of these?
