I had a post on my profile that was not going to be cross posted, was not advertised or promoted, had no links, and as far as I know wasn't breaking any reddit rules. After sitting on my profile for about 9 days. the system flagged it as spam. I deleted it so as not to take chances, but can anyone explain why it was flagged in the first place and under what conditions is a profile post allowed?

I hope this question is allowed. If one makes a post and gets comments, how much replying is considered acceptable engagement (including timewise) and when does it cross the line to being considered spam? That is a line I don't want to cross.
