Looks like I beat PTC

2.5 years ago I felt a bump between my collar bone. I went to the doctors and ask them to look. A particularly gory biopsy revealed it was PTC. I had a 12 hour surgery to remove 51 lymph nodes including a tennis ball sized tumor under my collar bone.

I had 125 mcl of RAI which initially showed uptake in my thyroid bed, and no where else.

My TGAB was over 800 when I had my surgery, since then it has fallen to 22 decreasing with each quarterly blood test. my TG is also low but not 0 - 3.8 decreasing quarterly. Looks like I will be one of those people that don't go to 0

I had a RAI uptake scan this week, which showed no uptake anywhere in my body. My doctor told me this scan and bloodwork was "better than she could have hoped" after purposely stopping my Levo and doing 2 Thyrogen shots and doing this stupid LID diet no real increase in levels.

She told me "This chapter in your life is over. Move on from your cancer diagnosis and live life with your wife and kids. Go to japan, plan to see your grandchildren someday" It was such a relief I collapsed in tears after leaving her office. obviously Levo is life, but life looks promising.
