First off this is going to be a little long and I apologize and be honest I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do about it, I’m just looking for a little wisdom. I purchased 2 quartz slabs last weekend at a remnant sale. I took our blueprints of our kitchen cabinets that are 25years old, so they could use it for the measurements. We had very helpful worker that seemed like he knew what he was doing & also told us he had been there for 23 years, so we trusted him. This sale was absolutely crazy, like it was black Friday or something and we had never been before so we so very happy that we had found someone to help us. He took our measurements & helped us to find what we needed. However he did tell us we would need 2 slabs because of our L shape and we would have 1 seam, but that you would hardly notice it. This guy even called over another co worker who installs countertops & asked him to look at both slabs to make sure they matched up with color & pattern, which this guy agreed that it looked really close. So we took their word, we trusted them & thought they knew what they were doing. We also bought a sink there, which the worker recommended and i asked if it would fit, that it looked to big, and looked at measurements again and looked up the sink online, told us that sink originally sold for $1200 and we were getting it for $50. So of course we trusted him…. Today they came out to messure & start the sink & tell us the sink is to big & will not work, then messure the countertops & tell us the slabs we purchased are to small and we will have 3 seams,.. i literally wanted to cry. He did some calling & more meauring & said they could probably do it with 2 seams, but 1 in the middle of my sink. I called up to speak with a lady who had been helping me, she proceeded to remind me that all sales are final and that we agreed to the 2 slabs & the sink and that basically their is nothing i they can do or that i can do… so with this sale, they do the cuts for the sink & install for free… and yes this place came highly recommended by friends who have done this several times & no problems. … so i guess i am asking for any advice, should i stress about the 2 seams, will this sink seam stick out like a soar thumb… do i just let them install it & live it, it cost me $1800 sink included & for installation…
