Are my ARFID symptoms bad enough to go to a doctor?
I’m 14F, my parents have the baloney belief all doctors are evil; so the only time I can really get medical help is it’s a medical emergency. But I’m really worried about my health.
I started developing ARFID around June/July and it became extreme in October. Like; a pack of saltines per day and then starving for the next 20 hours. Currently, I’m surviving solely off of bread and had my first piece of fruit in two months today.
I’m not in the percentile or whatever the thingy was called to be considered underweight for my age; but my BMI is below 18.5 and I lost around 10..? pounds from February/March to April after trying to regain weight. (124/121lbs at 111/110lbs)
I’m struggling with random chest pain accompanied by difficulty to breathe, but this doesn’t last long and randomly happens.
I’m extremely lethargic and dizzy; the fatigue is SoO bad I genuinely feel like I’m in the fourth dimension. I haven’t experienced as much body aches as I used to but I still experience pain in my arms, legs, and back.
The headaches have been really bad alongside joint pain, there were times I felt nauseous from how bad my knee hurt.
I have this weird lil purple, reddish dots all over my torso and chest that can either look really red, purple, or palish red. I’m bruised REALLy easily and they’ll last FOREVERr.
I feel faint but I haven’t fainted yet, and sometime just moving my head while laying down is enough to make me AGFHEGSHRH.
I’m not fully sure about my heart rate, but sometimes when I get difficulty breathing I’ll count the beats with a timer of 15-30 seconds and multiply depending on the timer. Based off my counting, my heart rate will be under 50 beats per minute but this is just when I’m resting.
There is a new problem surrounding my teeth as well; they feel almost.. raw? I feel a sensation in my teeth. It’s not painful, almost like a tingle? It’s quite confusing but I feel the need to share.
When would you say its time to a take trip to urgent care? I’m trying to do my own research but everything is either vague or my brain just won’t compute the words.
