Not a Whiskey Sour

Not a Whiskey Sour

Sitting outside so I’m not going in to the bar but I’ve never seen a “Orange” Whiskey Sour before, I ordered a Whiskey Sour off of their classic cocktails menu, and I immediately ask what drink is this when served and the waitress assured me it was a Whiskey Sour. Tastes like they used orange bitters with lots of clove, also served with a dehydrated orange.

I rarely bake anything mostly because you kinda have to follow directions. I got an envie for a Morganza cake. I used triple chocolate box cake mix, with a bakers hack of substituting double the amount of butter for the oil and adding another egg, I also tried to slightly underbake it. I made a homemade pecan praline icing from scratch that turned out quite well, using butter, brown sugar, confectioners sugar, half and half, vanilla, salt, roasted pecans.

Obviously enjoyed with a tall gals of ice cold milk.

And will be once again in the morning with my coffee !

Does anyone in the Lafayette area do Pastrami or Corned Beef well ?

I’ve never tried either but both intrigue me.
