So we adopted our beautiful girl over 8 years ago. She's 11y 3mnths now and until recently she only slept for 16 hours per day (well she is a greyhound 😂). But I've noticed recently that she is sleeping a lot more and isn't as bouncy at dinner time as she once was.

She's still happy to go for a walk (well for the first 10 mins as she's always been 😀) and she's still following commands. But you know when you just get this feeling, like her light has diminished?

She isn't giving me any health concerns, still eating, drinking and pooping normally. She has her annual check soon so unless anything changes I'm not seeing any reason to take her to the vet. Or am I? (Cost not an issue).

I'm not even sure what I'm asking to be honest but I knew you guys would get it. Maybe I'm just hoping you'll all say she's just old and slowing down and could have years left yet.

Live your life!

I've been on my journey for over a year now and on MJ since October.

I can honestly say that I've never once regretted it. For me, it's never worked the way it does for others. I can easily eat, I can easily over eat, I can easily drink alcohol. I can do all of this with very mild, sometimes no, after effects.

What the jab does for me (apart from making me bankrupt 🤣) is give me mental clarity that I've not had before. Whilst I could, I don't feel the need to binge.

I'm currently on the path to the end of my journey. With just under 14lbs to go before my goal (however, as we all know, we do move the goal posts as I've already gone past my first one, nearly at my second and heading to what I think is my last).

It's been really slow for me and the reason for that is I've been living my life. I've learnt, albeit slowly, that I can have the weekend away without counting my calories, I can drink the wine, I can eat the cheeseburger and it's ok.

I'm a strict calorie counter, I even count lettuce! This BH weekend I had 4 days where I had at least two meals per day, plus snacks, plus alcohol. I didn't binge but my meals were certainly way over my maintenance calories.

I came back 3.6lbs heavier. I understand that most of that was inflammation and water. I got back on it on Tuesday and woke up this morning weighing less than what I did Friday last week by 0.2lbs.

Did it set me back a week? Yes. Do I regret it? Not at all because, as the title suggests, life is for living.

Obviously I can't do this every weekend because, at best, I'd just maintain.

You don't get fat by having the odd weekend away, you get fat from consistently over eating. I get back on it. Every. Single. Time. If you can do this, you're golden.

Edit: just to say I walk whenever I can. Lunch = walk, work call = walk, nip to local shop = walk, time with the kids or husband = walk (with a man crèche at the end of it 😂).

Basically, anything under 2-3 miles I tend to walk when I have time rather than get the car out. This has genuinely been the best thing for me.

If I've got time to doom scroll on my phone, I've got time to stick my podcast on and go for a walk!

After some advice about the sale of my 2021 Skoda Karoq. It's been on sale for nearly a week with no enquiries.

I know the first thing to consider is the price. It's on for 3 - 3.5k less than what dealers are charging and on for around £500 less than Autotrader recommended to sell for.

I literally see these cars everywhere, even in the same colour, but there are very few out there for sale and I can't see any for lower than the price and condition I'm offering.

I'd be grateful for any advice you could give me about the ad or anything that can help would be great. I'm not in a rush but I don't want it sat there depreciating on my drive as it's now surplus to requirements.

I have only put it on Autotrader, are there other selling platforms I should use or is it a case of just waiting?
