For all those who had software issues with your new 2026 CX-5, contact your dealers if they have it available to address your issues - you need to say you're experiencing any of these. Updates thanks to ASH8 from CX-5 Forum who also confirmed these updates cannot be done DIY as it requires expensive equipment from Denso to finalize. Would love to know if anyone says their dealer has it ready and whether the updates resolve all issues..

Updated Software Release for CDC or Cockpit Domain Controller (formerly called CMU in other Mazda's).

Changelog for the CDC:

• Intermittent Globe with a slash icon (SA-015/26)
• Beep sound near the SOS button and SOS button amber or red LED - DTC U2701:89 (SA-015/26)
• Instrument Cluster Master Warning Light illuminated.
• The center display screen is blank.
• No data plan message.
• Center Display Home Screen Partial Boot Up.
• No Connected Vehicle One Time Passcode (OTP).
• During a Bluetooth phone call, tapping the navigation icon does not launch Google Maps.
• During an Apple CarPlay phone call, the Climate Control full‑screen menu cannot be accessed.
• While the Climate Control screen is displayed in full screen, tapping the Apple CarPlay icon does not launch Apple CarPlay.

Google today officially posted that Gemini looks to be ready to push out. Some were asking if it would be an app or OTA update, it's the later since it requires a system wide update:
